Where does the time go?

It doesn't seem that long ago when Madison was just a little toddler going to the first day of preschool and now she is in kindergarten. One thing I can say for sure is that I have done the best I can at documenting her life in pictures, have I done anything with all these pictures, no but I would like to one day. I guess I will have tons of time on my hands now that she has started school so I can devote some of it to organizing all of these wonderful memories.

He she is all grown up about to turn six and she takes my breath away. She is silly and sweet, funny and sassy, she is my first born and my baby girl. Might I add she can turn it on for the camera too, do you think we take too many pictures?

easter...

well, I tried to capture our Easter Sunday and of course not everything went as planned. Neither of the kids wanted to stand next to each other and then my camera battery went dead! At times like that I really miss being able to pop in a few AA batteries and keep moving but much to my dismay I had to run upstairs and charge the battery for a few minutes so I could try to get at least one shot for the day. So this is it, Madison was half way on for me this particular day and this is what we ended up with. Matt solution was to recycle last years Easter pictures.... Sorry babe it doesn't work that way, he should know me better than that by now!

Little man just turned TWO! It came with mixed emotions not knowing of this was going to be the last time we celebrated a 2nd birthday with one of our children. We have not come to the decision that this will be that last baby, actually I have decided it isn't and Matt is not really sure. I usually plan outfits and locations to take birthday pictures but I was a little off with all my emotions that I think I kind of thought maybe if I didn't plan it i wouldn't have the opportunity to be sad. I have to say I think they came out pretty good even if we didn't have the cute outfit like we did last year. Now that I know it wasn't so bad I might go back and try to make some more with the outfit and the location...

Here I go...

These are photos of baby Delaney for her 1st birthday

What exactly is sacred art? Well for me sacred art is pictures of my kids. There is just something about a GREAT photo that captures a moment forever. I have always been interested in photography but always thought I was not artistic enough to be good at it. After my daughter was born all I wanted to do was take pictures of her! Everyday with my little point and shoot camera I gradually got better pictures and a little light went off, all I need to do is practice and I might get good at it. So here I am with tons of practice and I did get better, I am not tooting my own horn here and I would not by any means consider myself a professional and would never take money from anyone to take pictures for them but what I can say it that I am very proud to display my pictures all over my house and that is what I set out to accomplish. Along the way I decided to take pictures of other friends and family to get different experiences with different subjects and so far I have one very loyal friend that is happy to let me photograph her children on a regular basis. So I would like to dedicate this very first entry to my great friend Devin and her two beautiful babies!! Love ya girl and those little blondies too...
